Last year, in December, the whole world stood still. Visionary billionaire Elon Musk sparked astonishment when he announced through his Twitter account that he plans to build a tunnel boring machine for digging tunnels in order to solve the Los Angeles traffic problem that gives him big headache. ‘Traffic is driving me nuts.’, he wrote on the social network. He then promised to name the project “The Boring Company”, which he ultimately did. Musk’s boring machine already made an appearance at SpaceX.
