MisTable: An interactive 3D tabletop system

You should be familiar with the following technology because you’ve seen something similar in the Minority Report movie. Folks at University of Briston managed to invent MisTable, the first 3D interactive display by combining a curtain of fog and a touchscreen table. The user can interact with images that are projected on the curtain of mist, and he can move them with a simple gesture of the hand.

This technology is an important step forward in the field of human-computer interfaces, and it can pave the way for future discoveries. The technology was perfected in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Bristol and the scientists combined the conventional interactive table with a personal screen that’s made of fog and it has see-through and reach-through capabilities.
