A Korean company called SK Telecom Co. recently launched the fastest wireless communication of high-speed data for mobile phones and data terminals. Called LTE-Advanced technology, the new network allows transfers of 150 megabits per second, which means that 800 megabits a movie can be downloaded in 43 seconds, making the network 10 time faster than common 3G connections.
The new service is currently available only in the capital of Korea, Seoul, and its suburbs. More than 60% of smartphone users (about 33 million) already use LTE technology to connect to the internet with their mobile devices, and they are looking forward to “switch” to LTE-Advanced.
As you can imagine, Samsung is already trying to monetize this technology, so they have already announce a custom model of S4 that works with the new LTE-Advance network: Samsunng LTE-A Galaxy S4. The LTE-A S4 has a new quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon clocked at 2.3Ghz, Full HD display and a camera of 13 MP. The smartphone will be available very soon, only in South Korea.
